Our Mission

The mission of the National Latino Research Center (NLRC) at California State University San Marcos is to promote scientific and applied research, training, and the exchange of information that contribute to the knowledge and understanding of the rapidly growing U.S. Latino population.
The NLRC's local and national projects have explored topics such as cultural competency in public agencies, migrant health, environmental justice, educational equity, civic engagement, and community development.
