Kit-Bacon Gressitt (K-B) is a lecturer in Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. She has a BA in Women's Studies from CSUSM and an MFA in Creative Writing from University of California, Riverside, with emphases in narrative nonfiction and representations of women in historical popular texts.

With a UC colleague, K-B launched an intersectional feminist journal in 2016, www.WritersResist.com, and, in 2018, published the journal's first print anthology, Writers Resist: The Anthology 2018.
A former feminist newspaper columnist with the now-defunct North County Times, K-B's continuing interests include political and social activism, domestic violence, ideological representations in popular texts, reproductive and climate justice, and creative writing.
