About Stephanie Ly, PhD, MPH

Dr. Stephanie Ly is an Adjunct Faculty member for the MPH program at CSUSM. She is a global health researcher and environmental sustainability analyst. Dr. Ly attained her PhD from the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health, MPH from the University of Southern California, and BS/BA from Lycoming College. She was a recipient of the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) T32 Doctoral Traineeship, Population Reference Bureau U.S. Policy Communication Fellow, and Conrad N. Hilton Doctoral Scholar at the UCLA World Policy Analysis Center. Dr. Ly has several peer-reviewed publications and a book chapter on global topics including environmental risk factors, women's health, urban policy, and child development. Her research interests include environmental exposures, child stunting, social justice, and climate-related health impacts. She serves as a consultant on global research studies including UNICEF and WHO projects in Uganda and Ethiopia. Dr. Ly has also instructed fully online and in community and global health subjects at USC Online MPH, CSULA Public Health, and UCLA.
