The campus community is invited to take part in this day of service to honor the life and legacy of civil rights activist César Chávez. CSUSM’s César Chávez Day of Service will coincide with César Chávez Day, a state holiday held in remembrance of the late founder of the United Farm Workers Union and pioneer in the struggles for fair wages and humane working conditions for farm workers and their families. Chávez is revered as one of the greatest American civil rights leaders.

Involve your STUDENT ORGANIZATION and be rewarded

The CSUSM Student Organization featuring the highest number of attendees* will earn a USU Event Award of $300 to be applied to a future event held at the USU.  The USU Event Award must be redeemed by Dec 31, 2015.  Award can be applied to USU operation and logistic fees including but not limited to after-hour fees, set-up fees, staging and other USU event resources.
