NASA MUREP Aerospace Academy

Funded by NASA, the CSUSM NASA MUREP Aerospace Academy (MAA) is targeted towards local high school students with diverse backgrounds that are representative to the North County Region. By introducing STEM professionals, degrees, and careers into the lens of possibility for local high school students, deepening their interest in and preparing them for a future in STEM. Exceptional CSUSM undergraduate students support the CSUSM NASA MAA program in facilitating engaging and authentic experiential STEM activity by building near-peer mentorships with local high school students.

Currently, CRESE has established the CSUSM NASA MAA program in 5 local high schools; Mission Hills, San Marcos, Escondido, San Pasqual and Orange Glen. This program is not only targeted towards high school students but aims to impact their families and the community. High school students share their STEM projects with families at presentations and capstone events, as well as community events such as Super STEM Saturday.
