Fully Employed MBA Application Requirements

To apply for admission to the Fully Employed MBA (FEMBA) Program, complete the following:

  1. Submit a Cal State Graduate Admission Application online at CSU Mentor and pay the $55 application fee at the same website. CSU Mentor states that summer applications are accepted February 1, however the MBA summer application opens earlier on October 1. On the application please select the Major/Program Objective “Business Administration,” and for the Degree Objective select “Other master's (MBA, MFA, MPA, etc.).” Please Note: You MUST have applied to the CSU as a potential graduate student (using the CSU Mentor website) and the Office of Admissions MUST receive all official transcripts by the stated application deadlines.
  2. Complete the College of Business Administration (CoBA) Application Package for FEMBA Program Admission.
  3. Submit a one-page essay on your achievements which you consider to be the best indicators of your potential for a successful management career.
  4. Submit a one-page essay on the rewards and challenges you anticipate from the program and how you expect the experience to enhance your management career.
  5. Provide three professional recommendations using the Recommendation for MBA Applicant Form.
  6. Submit a resume, including military experience, if any.
You must also request that the following documents be sent directly to CSUSM from the respective organizations:
  1. GMAT scores. Request for your official score report to be sent to CSUSM. The CSUSM code for the GMAT test is V38-PT-28. Please visit to arrange for a test date and view our Frequently Asked Questions to learn about how to prepare for the GMAT test. If you are sending GRE scores the CSUSM school code is 4155.
  2. Two transcripts from each college or university previously attended. Transcripts must be received by CSUSM in sealed envelopes from the institutions. It is acceptable for you to send in transcripts which you have received from your previous college/university, but the official seal on the envelopes must not be broken. When requesting transcripts, be sure you contact the institution first to determine its fee. You may use the MBA Applicant Transcript Request Form to assist you in requesting your transcripts. All non-English transcripts must be received in the native language and be accompanied by a certified English translation.
  3. TOEFL or IELTS score, if required. Request that the appropriate testing organization send your scores directly to the Office of Admissions at the address below.
