Application Requirements

  1. Write a word file with the following information in 1-2 pages (5000 words maximum): 
    • How will this research experience help you to meet your education goals
    • Describe your previous experience and/or personal strengths that would benefit a research team
    • Explain your potential interest in working on a project related to the plasticity of cells, organisms, and communities
    • What faculty (mention three) would you like to work with and why
    • Is there anything else you would like to tell us about yourself and/or your interests 
  2. Remember to write in the application form the email reference for two letters of recommendation. We will contact them directly with instructions on how to submit their letter. 
  3. If accepted, please produce your official transcript. 

Program Details

Use cutting edge tools and techniques to uncover the molecular and cellular mechanisms of how cells, organisms, and communities adapt to stochastic environmental conditions by coordinating growth with morphological, physiological, and behavioral traits to maximize fitness.

Program Participants will Receive:

  • $6,000 Summer Stipend
  • $550 Travel Stipend for out of region participants
  • Free Campus Housing
  • Modest Per Diem

Eligibility Requirements:

  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Major in Biological Sciences or Related Field
  • College Transcripts
  • 2 Letters of Recommendation
