Wendy Hardy

Congratulations to Linguistics major, Wendy Hardy

Wendy Hardy is both the Department Outstanding Student and the recipient of this year’s CHABSS Dean's Award for Outstanding Student. Wendy is graduating with a major in Linguistics in the Language, Culture, and Society concentration, and with minors in French and American Indian Studies, and will be pursuing a Master’s Degree in Linguistics at SDSU this fall. Wendy receives these honors both for her outstanding academic performance as well as for her lasting impact on the department and campus community. She took on key leadership roles on campus, including being the founding and inaugural president of the linguistics student organization, the Linguistics Collective, and served on the CHABSS Dean’s Student Advisory Council. Wendy is selfless in teaching and tutoring French and has a passion for language and linguistic justice.
