Content Marketing Manager

HP, Inc.

Brief description of role/job duties: I am a Content Marketing Manager for the HP Graphics Solutions Business for the HP Indigo digital presses and PageWide Industrial presses. These digital presses are used by Print Service Providers (such as Shutterfly for example) and creatives to print a variety of pieces including photobooks, magazines, books, direct mail, etc. I do a variety of things in my role, but my primary duty is creating engaging and captivating content for our different audiences. Some of my duties consist of:

  • Developing integrated paid and organic social campaigns leveraging competitive research, benchmarking, and first /third party data.
  • Develop and execute social media strategies for regional tradeshows and events
  • Email nurture campaigns to help migrate opportunities through the sales funnel
  • Create a curated experience for smaller customer facing events

Favorite thing about your job: My favorite thing about my job is that I truly feel I am contributing  back to the overall business and have fun doing it. My role allows me to be creative, engage with our sales team/customers and create engaging content and experiences that I can say I produced. I think it is super important to do something that allows you to have some fun and utilize your best strengths.

Favorite thing about the MKTG department from my CoBA memories: I loved playing an active role in the Marketing Society. It allowed me to network with professionasl within the Marketing industry, improve upon management skills, and get more people interested in the Marketing field.

Favorite MKTG class: My favorite Marketing class was an Independent study I did with professor Schuster on Big Data and Marketing Analytics. I approached Professor Schuster about doing this Independent Study after noticing a gap that the Marketing Department did not offer a class on marketing analytics at the time and realizing that this was key for me to study to help me grow further in my future Marketing career after graduation. If there is something you want to learn that you feel is missing, don’t be afraid to ask for it and push to get the learning you feel will help you further in your future career.
