Bio

Ali Ahmadinia completed his Ph.D. degree from University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany, in 2005. In 2004-2005, he worked as a research associate in Electronic Imaging Group, Fraunhofer Institute - Integrated Circuits (IIS), Erlangen, Germany. In 2006-2008, he was a research fellow in the School of Engineering and Electronics, University of Edinburgh, UK. In 2008, he joined Glasgow Caledonian University, UK, where he was a associate professor in embedded systems. He is currently a Computer Engineering Professor and Interim Associate Dean of College of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (CSTEM) at California State University San Marcos, US. In 2019-2024, he was Department Chair of Computer Science and Information Systems at California State University San Marcos. His research has resulted in more than 130 international journal and conference publications in the areas of Edge Artificial Intelligence, Internet-of-Things, Reconfigurable Computing, System-on-Chip, and Network-on-Chip.
