Ali Ahmadinia received his Ph.D. degree from University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany, in 2006. In 2004-2005, he worked as a research associate in Electronic Imaging Group, Fraunhofer Institute - Integrated Circuits (IIS), Erlangen, Germany. In 2006-2008, he was a research fellow in the School of Engineering and Electronics, University of Edinburgh, UK. In 2008, he joined Glasgow Caledonian University, UK, where he was a senior lecturer in embedded systems. He is currently a Computer Engineering Professor and the Department Chair of Computer Science and Information Systems at California State University San Marcos, US. His research has resulted in more than 130 international journal and conference publications in the areas of Edge-based Artificial Intelligence, Internet-of-Things, reconfigurable computing, system-on-chip, and network-on-chip.
