Hello, my name is Antonio M. Zaldívar.  I earned my Ph.D. from UCLA, where I studied under Teo Ruiz.  I joined the History Department at CSUSM in 2014.  I specialize in the history of the Iberian Peninsula and the western Mediterranean during the High and Late Middle Ages.  I am currently working on a book manuscript tentatively titled The Power of Language Choice in the Lands of the Crown of Aragon, 1000-1291.
