myCSUSMAbout the Event
The West Coast Biological Sciences Undergraduate Research Conference (WCBSURC) is among the oldest intercollegiate conferences of its kind in the nation.
This one-day event will take place at California State University San Marcos on April 12, 2025.
California State University San Marcos is located in beautiful North San Diego County, in between the city of San Diego to the south, and Orange and Riverside counties to the north - minutes from the area’s best beaches and an hour from both the desert and the mountains!
The goals of the WCBSURC are:
- To provide a forum for undergraduate researchers to present original data they have generated in the fields of biology, biochemistry, biophysics and related fields.
- To foster intercollegiate interactions among students and faculty who share a commitment to undergraduate research in the biological sciences.
The conference will last only one day! To make the most of your experience, use our Conference Planner and start organizing
your day in advance. We recommend doing this ahead of time so you can fully enjoy
the event and plan which posters and seminars you’d like to attend. In the conference
planner site: Use the check boxes to select talks and posters you’re interested in. Use the dropdown
menu to filter by session type. When you're ready, you can view your schedule or download
it as a PDF.
