Office of the VP for University Advancement
The Office of the Vice President for University Advancement provides leadership and
strategic direction for all areas of. The office also oversees CSUSM Foundation Board
operations, government relations, and executive support for the Vice President.
University Development & Annual Giving
University Development builds meaningful relationships with individuals, corporations, and foundations to
secure philanthropic support for Cal State San Marcos. Through strategic fundraising
efforts, the team advances university priorities by connecting donor passions with
opportunities to transform student lives, programs, and the campus community.
Donor Relations and Stewardship helps ensure that supporters are meaningfully thanked, informed, and engaged in the
impact of their giving.
The Annual Giving team encourages broad support for Cal State San Marcos through campaigns like Cougar Crowdfunding and Giving Day, inspiring gifts of all sizes that create immediate impact.
Advancement Services and Budget
Advancement Services is responsible for processing, recording and maintaining all gifts and gift documentation
to the CSUSM Foundation, along with constituent biographical records management, prospect
research, prospect management, data analytics, and serving as a strategic thought
partner for University Advancement.
Foundation Project Administration oversees the review, auditing, and administration of CSUSM Foundation project accounts, including agreements, training, and guidance for campus partners managing scholarships, endowments, and program funds.
Budget and Resources provides financial oversight for the University Advancement division.

Alumni Engagement
Our Alumni Engagement team fosters lifelong connections between Cal State San Marcos and its growing alumni
community. We create meaningful opportunities for alumni to stay involved, give back,
and support current students through events, volunteerism, mentorship, and networking.
Events & Conference Services
Event & Conference Services plans and supports a wide range of university and community events. From campus celebrations
to external events, our team delivers exceptional service and welcoming experiences
for all guests.
