AIS 115: American Indians, Colonization, and Critical Thinking

Utilizes skills first, active learnings and Indigenous methodologies to approach critical thinking through current events and ethical issues that impact Indigenous communities. Draws from philosophical scholarship from disciplines like ethnic studies, environmental studies, legal, and gender studies. Enacts critical thinking skills through engaging with both Western and Indigenous paradigms of critical thinking, critically evaluating academic an non-academic research, making wellformed arguments regarding philosophical concepts like sovereignty, land, research ethics, decolonization, Indigenous feminisms, and cultural reclamation.
