Cougar Blue Day is our annual celebration and open house for newly admitted students and their families. This fun and interactive event is designed just for you! Whether you’re a first-year or transfer student, this is your chance to get a true feel for life at CSUSM.
Reasons to Attend Cougar Blue Day
- Make connections: Meet current students, staff and even professors who are here to support your success.
- Explore your future: Join sessions on everything from studying abroad and first-year tips to financial aid, academic programs and success coaching.
- Get inspired: Discover our vibrant campus culture through live performances by our greek life and talented students from the departments of dance, music, and art, media and design.
- Plan your day: Tour campus, visit open houses and explore the departments and organizations showcased at the event.
- Savor the experience: Enjoy on-campus dining or venture out to nearby restaurants for a taste of the local scene.
Helpful Tips
- Wear comfortable shoes for long walks.
- Bring a refillable water bottle. Hydration stations can be found on our event and campus app.
- Free parking in lots B, C, N, F and Parking Structure 1 (PS1).
- Check-in locations will be in front of University Hall and the Arts Building.
- Plan to be flexible with your schedule. Information sessions and tours are first-come, first-served, and may reach maximum capacity.
- Visit our information booth on Kellogg Plaza if you need a campus map or have any questions.
- Don’t forget to mention Cougar Blue Day at select eateries near campus for a discount.
