If you are considering majoring in geography at CSUSM starting in Fall 2023, consider applying during the CSUSM Priority Application Period, which is October 1 - November 30.
Join our information session on Tuesday, April 19, noon-1:00pm at Dome Terrace near the CSUSM Bookstore. Please RSVP by Friday, April 8. Send questions and RSVP to Liz Ridder (eridder@csusm.edu).
Students in the geography program develop a solid grounding in geographic fundamentals. They study the global food system, ancient landscapes in the Middle East, and global climate change through hands-on experiences and classes featuring high impact projects like student research presented at the annual CSUSM research symposium. They also develop core skills in GIS and other field methods.
