Hello & welcome to my page!

I am a Lecturer in the Kinesiology Department and the Sports Dietitian for Cougar Athletes. I have been teaching at CSUSM since 2012. I am a Registered / Sports Dietitian and I teach nutrition and health courses, along with Mindfulness and Pilates. I am originally from Michigan (GO BLUE!). My husband & I moved to San Diego over 20 years ago, and we have one "fuzzy" child (Frank). We live at the beach and enjoy surfing, paddle boarding, kayaking, walking our “kids”, Pilates, yoga, working out, hiking, snowboarding, driving our Jeeps - anything that involves the outdoors. I have also been working with Therapy Dogs since 2008 at Rady Children's Hospital. Observing the amazing benefits of pet therapy across the years, it spurred a great interest to bring a dog to CSUSM to provide pathways for success and personal development of students in a time where the need of heightened social and emotional well-being has never been greater.
