Research Projects

The overall goal of our projects is to attract, retain, train, and support underrepresented undergraduate students in field of environmental science. The lab addresses the educational need for enhancing student experiential learning by providing inquiry-based learning activities and research opportunities to college students so that they may be well-trained to solve complex environmental problems.

To be considered for these programs you must fill out an application consisting of

  • Your contact information
  • List of university science courses that you have taken
  • Names and contact information of people who can attest to your character and potential for academic success.
  • Statement of purpose: Why do you want to participate? Why are you a perfect candidate for this project? What are your education, career, and research goals?
  • A completed environmental science survey.

If your application is complete and passes the first round of evaluation then you will be asked to participate in a short interview.

Participants will be selected by early spring semester.
