The
University Village is the newly opened dormitory on campus. It is
situated on campus and will be a few minutes away from the site of the conference.
The accomodations at the Village are apartment-style rooms.
Each apartment has a kitchen, dining/living area and 2 bathrooms and there are laundry
facilities located on each floor. They are furnished with an extra-long twin size bed, desk, chair,
and chest in the bedroom per occupant and couch, chair, end table, coffee table, dining table and four chairs;
as well as kitchen appliances (refrigerator, stove/oven, dishwasher, microwave, and garbage disposal).
There are 4 bedroom and 2 bedroom units available.
If you are interested in staying in the dorm, please indicate so when you register for the conference.
After your registration has been processed,
your name will be automatically forwarded to the dorm personnel and a room will be available for you
when you arrive here. If you do not wish to share an apartment, please make sure you mention that in
your registration form, otherwise you will be assigned to a shared apartment.
The cost per night of staying in the Village is $59 if you wish to rent an entire apartment
for yourself. A private room in a shared apartment is $29 per night. This does not include a
linen service charge of $12 for the duration of the stay.
Payment can be made when
you arrive for the conference at the Village front desk. They accept all major credit cards.
The closest hotel to the conference is the
Hampton Inn which is half a mile away, at the foot of the hill on which the university is located.
We will reserve a block of rooms for the conference for participants. The approximate price is
$85 per night, which includes a continental breakfast. If you would like to stay there, please contact the
hotel reservations directly (1-800-HAMPTON or 1-760-736-9249 (local)).
Participants who sought financial support are reminded that lodging support will be reimbursed
only for the cost of a shared apartment in the dormitories on campus.
