Undergraduate Degree Programs
The Sociology Department
offers two Bachelor's of Arts degree programs:
B.A. in Sociology B.A. in Criminology and Justice Studies
Each degree
requires 120 units for completion, 43-44 of which must be from sociology
courses. The links above provide general information and the specific
requirements for each degree.
Students who are governed by earlier catalogs, or who
wish to count older courses toward their degree requirements, should also
examine important information concerning our transition from 3-unit to
4-unit courses.
We also offer two minors:
Minor in Sociology
Minor in Criminology and Criminal Justice
Faculty advisors for all
of our degree programs are assigned alphabetically. Meeting with a faculty
advisor is not required but encouraged, especially if you have questions about
specific requirements, course selection, and careers. The following link
shows the current advisor assignments for all majors and minors.
