Business Writing Tune Up

The Wall Street Journal recently reported that 80% of U.S. businesses surveyed cited written communication as one of their employees' biggest skill problems. This workshop teaches current guidelines and up-to-date practices to ensure that business documents are correct, polished, and professional. You will learn how to organize your thoughts to present your ideas clearly and effectively, and how to avoid common communication and grammatical errors that can sabotage credibility.

Plenty of hands-on exercises focus on improving and fine-tuning writing skills, including assignments between classes to practice and reinforce the skills. Don't miss the opportunity to improve your written communication skills in this fun, interactive format!

Note: Bring writing samples to class to work on: emails, reports, letters, or anything else you write. This is where everything comes together as you apply what we learn to your own writing.
