Professional Certificate for Wine, Beer, and Spirits Specialist

With the opening of the satellite campus of California State University San Marcos in Temecula in 2008, the university placed itself squarely in the historic and rapidly growing Temecula wine region.  The region including Southwest Riverside and North San Diego Counties is recognized as a hotbed for craft brewing and craft beverage production. Growth in jobs in the wine, craft beer and spirits are opening and skills and knowledge are needed. 

Program Overview

This certificate program will offer skills and knowledge in multiple beverage areas.  The Specialist Certificate provides a broad base of knowledge, covering all commercially relevant beverages, not just wine or beer but spirits also.  The purpose of the program is to understand the industry and to offer career pathways or personal enrichment. Must be 21 years of age to participate.
