Admission Requirements

CSU Lower-Division General Education Requirements

The CSU lower-division GE requirements must be completed prior to admission to CSUSM.

• Area A1 Oral Communication GEO 102
• Area A2 Written Communication GEW 101
• Area A3 Critical Thinking LTWR 115, MATH 110, PHIL 110 or PSYC 110
• Area B4 Mathematics Any CSU B4 Math

• Completion of the equivalent of 60 semester units of study at a community college or university
• Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA from all transfer coursework
