Upward Bound is a federally-funded TRIO program through the U.S.
Department of Education. The program is designed to assist high school
students in developing the skills and motivation necessary to ensure
high school graduation and future success in college. Upward Bound
provides academic support by offering, tutorial services at each target
school site from CSU San Marcos students, Saturday workshops, a summer
residential program, local and extended college visitations, career
advising, and assistance in researching and applying for financial aid
and college admission. The CSU San Marcos program services 57 students
from 4 high schools in North San Diego County.
