How to get a good grade in Mrs. Hall’s
 classes
:
1. READ texts.
1. Make sure your
work is turned in on time – this means web work as well as papers.
  1. Make sure that assignments are typed, proof-read (not simply ‘spell-checked’), and corrected BEFORE they are turned in.

1. COME TO CLASS!

Classes have up to three internet
 components:
1) Web Page - contains lecture material, course readings/editorials and group assignments.  User name and passwords are given in class
2) WebCT6 - for group work and/or group meetings
3) Turnitin.com - for some assignments - directions for access are on the syllabus

TWO RULES FOR
  SUCCESS IN LIFE:

-  Life is about our priorities, the choices we make based on our priorities and the
consequences of our choices.

Half of success in life is just showing up!

What is the hardest task in the world?  To think.

COMM350f

     I hear and I forget.

    I see and I remember.

    I do and I understand.

     proverb

COMM425

The notion that ordinary people want black-robed judges, well dressed lawyers, and fine courtrooms as settings to resolve their disputes is not correct.  People with problems...want relief, and they want it as quickly and inexpensively as possible.

Warren E. Burger

COMM437

Know thyself.
       Socrates

The family is the factory where the person is made.
Virginia Satir, Contacts: Communicating interpersonally

To learn to play the flute, you must play the flute.

Aristotle

Stand up so that you can be seen.  Speak up so that you can be heard.  Sit down so that you will be appreciated.
