School of Health Sciences and Human Services
The School of Health Sciences and Human Services is home to four departments.
Human Development Department
The human development program provides programs that prepare graduates to seek careers in various settings, from non-profit and state agencies in health related and social services fields.
Kinesiology graduates are filing the region’s need for professionals in fitness, athletic training, teaching coaching, and health-related fields.
Social Work Department
The Masters in Social Work (MSW) program will prepare graduates for leadership roles in schools, hospitals, mental health clinics, senior centers, elected office, private practice, prisons, corporations, and in many public and private agencies that serve individuals and families in need.
Speech-Language Pathology Department
The Communicative Sciences & Disorders program prepares San Diego students for practice in the field of speech-language pathology.
