Annual Conference

2018 Call for Proposals

“We are All Educators”

On January 11, 2018 the Division of Student Affairs will be hosting our third annual day of development for all professional employees within our division. Our 2018 conference theme is “We are all Educators” and will focus on co-curricular learning within student affairs programs and tools to embed intentional learning outcomes across the division.

This annual event is the cornerstone of our professional development program, and is a valuable opportunity to provide additional training to all our staff on key topics in student affairs. Our past themes have been student development theory and understanding diverse student populations and how to serve them with cultural sensitivity.

This year we want to provide everyone within the division with the opportunity to showcase how your area has incorporated intentional student learning and development into your programs and services by extending an invitation for you to submit a conference session program proposal.

Proposal Criteria:

  • Session proposals should address the learning outcome(s) that were built into your program/service, how you assessed the impact, and any actions taken based upon the results of the assessment.
  • The Program/Service you highlight can include those targeting any size student population, from individual students to large groups.

Each session will be 50 minutes in length and may have up to 60 participants. Technology for presentations will be provided, handouts or other materials for distribution are the responsibility of the presenter.
