myCSUSMAcademic Disqualification
What is Academic Disqualification?
If you're already on academic notice, you may be academically disqualified based on your class level and GPA. You can be disqualified if your term GPA falls below 2.0 and your cumulative GPA or your CSUSM GPA falls below the threshold for your class level.
| Class Level | Units Completed | Disqualification GPA Threshold |
|---|---|---|
| Freshmen | Fewer than 30 | Below 1.50 |
| Sophomore | 30-59 | Below 1.70 |
| Junior | 60-89 | Below 1.85 |
| Senior | 90 or more | Below 1.95 |
Need Support?
If you have been academically disqualified, you will be required to take a mandatory one-term break from CSUSM. During this time, it's important to start planning your return.
Please contact Monica Huerta for guidance on your next steps, including how to navigate your one-term break and complete the Reinstatement Petition.
