Eligibility and Requirements

Eligibility

  • Be a full time student at Palomar College or MiraCosta College
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Completed at least one major's level math and one science course with B or better grade
  • Strong interest in biomedical research careers and graduate school
  • U.S. citizen or permanent resident
  • Your lived experiences and perspectives can enhance the academic and scientific workforce
  • Be a science major in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics

Typical Program Requirements

  • Participation in several activities to strengthen academic skills
  • Participation in a Seminar Series
  • Participation in the Biomedical Sciences Club
  • Participation in all required Bridges activities
  • Be able to participate for two years
