Black Student Center

Black Student Union (BSU)

The mission of the Black Student Union is to promote belief and growth as individuals and as a people by distinguishing ourselves through awareness and outreach to the campus and community. Our goal is to uplift, unite, educate, & empower all members of our community!

We are a recognized student organization through Student Life and Leadership and collaborate with the Black Student Center and other campus entities.

Some of our signature events include:

  • Natural Hair Stroll
  • BSU Community BBQ
  • Step-ish: CSUSM's Divine 9 Step Show (in conjunction with the Black Student Center, Student Leadership and Involvement Center, Tukwut Life, Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. and Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.)

We meet on Tuesdays from 12-1pm in the Black Student Center. All are welcome to join us!
