BSU Elections 2020-21

The Black Student Union has opened up the process for elections for the 2020-21 Executive Board. 

All positions are open for elections at this time:

  • President
  • Vice President
  • Treasurer
  • Secretary
  • Public Relations
  • Academic Chair

BSU Elections will be held from Tuesday, June 16 at 9:00pm through Wednesday, June 17 at 11:59pm. The slate of nominees will be formally announced on Monday, June 8, 2020.

Current BSU members that are interested in running for office must complete the Candidate Form by Friday, June 5, 2020.

Please refer at the 2019-20 BSU Constitution for more information on executive board positions. Also, be reminded that to run for office, students must have at least a culumative 2.0 GPA.

Elections Timeline:

  • Wednesday, May 27, 2020, 7 pm: Interest Meeting

  • Friday, June 5, 2020: deadline for candidates to submit Interest form for their intent to run for a board position

  • Friday, June 12, 2020: deadline for candidates to submit platform videos (if they are unable to make the Elections Meeting)

  • Tuesday, June 16, 2020 7pm: BSU Elections Meeting will take place via Zoom and elections will open

  • Election window will be open (electronically) from Tuesday, June 16, 9 pm to Wednesday, June 17, 11:59pm

  • Friday, June 19, 2020: The 2020-21 BSU Executive Board is formally announced
