The CoBA Mentor Programs will be virtual for 2020-21. We are continuing to follow the guidelines of the CDC, California Department of Public Health and San Diego and Riverside County Departments of Public Health. We are also following the guidelines set by the California State University Chancellor’s Office as California State University San Marcos moves to a virtual environment for fall 2020.
The College of Business Administration has a vast array of professional connections in the San Diego County community and beyond. In consideration of the typical lifestyle of a busy MBA student, our Mentor Program allows students the flexibility to connect with high-level executives in a one-to-one relationship on a monthly basis and shape the relationship according to students’ career goals.
We pair selected mentees with a professional mentor from September through May. We provide mentors and mentees with preliminary information and tips on how to make the most of their time together. Once the introductions are made, the progression of the mentorship is determined by the mentor and mentee. Our expectation is that students drive the relationship.
Before completing the online application, be sure you have your resume and LinkedIn profiles updated and ready for submission.

"This program afforded me the chance to step out of my comfort zone and really push myself. My mentor provided excellent suggestions, advice and avenues to network and work toward my goals. Coming out of this program, I have a clearer idea of where I want to go, and who I want by my side on my professional journey. Thank you for this opportunity."
