There is no rehearsal for Commencement. Graduate Information Sessions serve to provide information to graduates so that you know what to expect on the day of commencement. You may also want to share this information with your guests so that they are aware of the information. Please check this website for updated information prior to the ceremony.
- April 7, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m Forum Plaza (in front of the USU).
- The Commencement Office will be available to answer questions regarding commencement
registration in advance of the April 14 deadline.
Grad Portrait Opportunity - Graduates are invited to take professional portraits with DiFranco Photography. There is no sitting fee, and a cap, gown, and diploma cover will be provided. Photo proofs will be emailed within 24–36 hours.
- April 21: In-Person Commencement Information Session: 12 – 12:50 p.m Academic Hall 102 .
- April 23: Commencement Information Session: 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Dome Terrace (outdoors).
- May 1: Virtual Commencement Information Session: 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. Virtual Graduate Information Session on Zoom

The Zoom link for the virtual information session was emailed to graduates the week prior.
Attend this session to learn more about the commencement ceremony and receive answers to commonly asked questions.
- April 23: 12:30 – 3 p.m University Store
- Supplies and workspace provided by the University Store. First come, first served, while supplies last.
Graduate Check-in & Day of Timeline
Plan to arrive early to allow time for parking, ticket scanning, and security screening. Gates open one hour before the ceremony, and ticket scanning begins 90 minutes prior to the ceremony start time. Arriving early ensures a smooth check-in and gives you time to get settled before the ceremony begins.
Day of Timeline for Graduates
⏰ 60–90 min – Arrival & Check-In
- Where: Mangrum Track & Field general entrance
- What to do: go through ticket scanning & security
- Follow signage leading to the Baseball Field* for graduate check-in
🕓 45 minutes – Get Ready
- Hang out in the Baseball Field*
- Have StagePass in-hand. Make sure the info on your StagePass is correct.
- Put on cap, gown, and tassel (hoods off for graduate students)
- There are supplies in the dugout and staff to help you
- Use restroom, hydrate, take photos
🕟 30 minutes – Line-Up by Major
- Locate your major and degree sign in the Baseball Field*
🕘 15 minutes – Final Prep
- Line up with your major and degree in the Baseball Field*
- Have StagePass ready. Make sure the info on your StagePass is correct.
🎶 Ceremony Start – Processional
- The ceremony will start on time, rain or shine.
- Follow Commencement staff directions and listen for announcements
- Graduates will walk to Mangrum Track and Field gate 10 minutes prior to the ceremony start time to get ready for the processional into the track.
