In spring 2017 CSUSM participated in The Chronicle of Higher Education’s Great Colleges to Work For® survey, to gather input and assess our progress towards enhancing a positive campus climate. I’m pleased to share that our overall result for the survey was a 70 percent satisfaction rate – up 3 points from 2014, showing positive progress. However, the Honor Roll benchmark for this year’s survey is 77 percent. While we are near the benchmark and the results showcase many of our successes as an organization, there is still work to do. We will incorporate the feedback from this year’s survey as we continue the process of creating the best workplace possible.
Over the next few weeks, each vice president will receive their division’s results and in the fall we will provide a full overview of results, themes and next steps. In addition, we will create an opportunity to engage in conversations regarding the results. The results of the 2017 survey, which include a year-by-year comparison by job category, are available below.
