The Learning-Aligned Employment Program (LAEP) is currently suspended due to state
budget allocations.
The Learning-Aligned Employment Program (LAEP) offers eligible CSUSM students the opportunity to earn money to help defray their educational costs while gaining education-aligned, career-related employment.
Student Eligibility
Student eligibility will be determined by the CSUSM Financial Aid department. You will be notified by email about open job positions.
General information about student eligibility. A student MUST:
- Be pursuing their first undergraduate bachelor's degree
- Be enrolled at least half-time during the semester
- Be eligible to work in the United States and be a California Resident
- Not work more than 20 hours a week during the academic year
- Maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP), as defined by CSUSM
- Demonstrate financial need, as determined by the Financial Aid office
Please note: The total LAEP compensation received shall not exceed $6.000 per academic year (August - May)
