This signature event provides an opportunity for the Division of Student Affairs to come together to celebrate accomplishments over the past academic year and recognize outstanding teams and individuals for their exceptional service to students.
We regret to inform you that the 2020 Blue & White Luncheon has been cancelled. We are committed to bringing this event back in 2021.
This year, we want recognize everyone in our division as you all have displayed great dedication and innovation throughout the transition to remote service, in continuity of service to our students, and with caring support of one another. The entire division is worthy of an award this year!
This award recognizes a department who demonstrated excellence in program or service delivery during the past year. This department displayed innovation, data-informed decision making, and a commitment to providing programs or services that support student success.
This award recognizes a project-based workgroup that implemented a new or improved project or service for students during the past year. This work of this team exemplified a creative, progressive approach to traditional student affairs work. Projects considered for this award may be related to technology, organizational structure, sustainability, individualization, accessibility, data and assessment, etc. Workgroups may be intra-divisional or cross-divisional.
This award recognizes a professional staff member from outside the Student Affairs Division who provides consistent support to the division, contributes to our mission, and provides outstanding service to our staff and programs.
This award recognizes a graduate assistant during the past year who displays exemplary potential to contribute to the field of Student Affairs. This individual consistently exceeds expectations and displays a commitment to the success, mission, and goals of their department.
This award recognizes an administrative staff who displays a strong commitment to supporting the work of their department. This individual goes beyond expectations, makes a significant contribution to the overall operations of their department and provides a strong foundation for innovative and student-centered work.
This award recognizes an individual who has quickly left their mark on the division by displaying consistent professionalism, goal accomplishment, innovation, and leadership within their department and in the campus community. To be eligible for this award, individuals must have served the division for no more than three years.
This award recognizes an individual displays an example of excellence in all areas of their work and strives to provide the best service to students. To be eligible for this award, individuals must have served the division at least three years but not more than 10 years.
This award, presented annually since 2000, recognizes an individual who leads by example in their day-to-day work, displays a strong personal commitment to student success, and serves as an inspiration for others on their team. Their contributions directly relate to the mission and vision of the division and the University, represent the University to the campus community, improve the flow of University business operations, and contribute to the continued success of CSUSM. To be eligible for this award, individuals must have served in the division for more than 10 years.
Planning, Assessment, and Professional Development is responsible for the collection of nominations. Senior Leadership Team (SLT) is responsible for reviewing nominations and selecting winners. The Director of Planning, Assessment, and Professional Development and SLT are not eligible to receive award nominations.
