Career and Learning

• Career Services
  Members of the CSUSM Alumni Association have access to in-person and online career resources for the length of your Alumni Association membership. Benefits include: Job Listings, Resume Critiques, Career Resource Lab, Graduate & Professional School information, Career Fairs, On Campus Recruiting and Individual Career Services.  Detailed information can be found on the Career Center Alumni page. Once you sign up for a membership, your Handshake account will be activated in 3-5 business days. NOTE: If you need access to Handshake immediately, and have purchased your Alumni Association Membership, please email ecullwell@csusm.edu with your receipt. 
• Library Privileges
  Alumni Association members have access to CSUSM's University Library which includes access to the 2nd and 3rd floor guest computers and a free community borrower card. Alumni can also use the library databases by coming into the Kellogg Library building and using the 2nd or 3rd floor public use terminals (no remote access available). • Extended Learning
  Want to enhance your degree?  As a member of the Alumni Association you'll enjoy a 15% discount on professional development classes and non-credit programs (excluding online courses). Find more information about Extended Learning.

Campus

• Free One-Day Parking Permit
  Your Alumni Association membership comes with one full day parking permit per member, per semester, so you can visit campus, attend an event, volunteer, etc. Please submit your request at least 10 days ahead. Request your parking permit here. 
• M. Gordon Clarke Field House
  Alumni Association members receive a discount on monthly memberships.  The Field House offers a wide variety of fitness facilities including a full weight room, a gymnasium, outdoor basketball and sand volleyball courts, soccer field and track & field facilities.  The Clarke also offers fitness and wellness programs!

• Working Advantage
  The Alumni Association is pleased to offer our members up to 60% off of tickets, travel and shopping. Once you become a member of the Alumni Association, you will receive your member ID number to register for this great service. • AAA
  Active members of a four-year college or university alumni association are eligible for discounts from AAA.
• Insurance Discounts
  Many insurance companies provide discounted rates to active members of college or university Alumni Associations. Be sure to check with your insurance carriers to see if you qualify for these exclusive benefits.

• Steps Magazine
  Steps is a magazine for alumni and friends to stay in touch with the CSUSM community! This publication offers a variety of special features, highlighting important programs and interesting people. Fill out the Class Notes form to let us know where you are and what you're doing, and you may be featured in an upcoming addition of Steps magazine! 

Get Involved

• Alumni Advisory Council

  Lifetime CSUSM Alumni Association members are eligible to apply to serve on the Alumni Advisory Council.

• Volunteerism and Advocacy
  Mentor and recruit students, and help establish alumni traditions. Participate in opportunities to promote CSUSM as the first choice university in Southern California. Alumni Association members are also invited to participate in legislative advocacy. 
• Special Events
  Alumni Association members receive special invitations and priority registration for Association events, as well as a discounted ticket price on select alumni events.
