Benefits

Career Services: Members of the CSUSM Alumni Association have access to in-person and online career resources for the length of your Alumni Association membership. Benefits include: Job Listings, Resume Critiques, Career Resource Lab, Graduate & Professional School information, Career Fairs, On Campus Recruiting and Individual Career Services.  Detailed information can be found on the Career Center Alumni page.

Library Privileges: Alumni Association members have access to CSUSM's University Library which includes access to the 2nd and 3rd floor guest computers and a free community borrower card. Alumni can also use the library databases by coming into the Kellogg Library building and using the 2nd or 3rd floor public use terminals (no remote access available). Please bring your Alumni Association membership card and/or Library-issued Alumni ID card to access the space. Learn about full borrowing privilege policies and CSUSM's library hours.

Extended Learning: Want to enhance your degree?  As a member of the Alumni Association you'll enjoy a 15% discount on professional development classes and non-credit programs (excluding online courses). Find more information about Extended Learning.

One Free One-Day Parking Permit (new!): We want our Alumni to come back to campus and see the tremendous growth, attend an event, volunteer with your college, mentor a student, and stay connected to campus.  To encourage this, we are offering one free one-day parking permit.  One permit per member, per semester.  Requests must be made 10 days in advance of campus visit.

Working Advantage: The Alumni Association is pleased to offer our members up to 60% off of tickets, travel and shopping. Once you become a member of the Alumni Association, you will receive your member ID number to register for this great service. Monthly E-Newsletter: Monthly updates on Alumni Association news and events.

M. Gordon Clarke Field House: Alumni Association members receive a discount on monthly memberships.  The Field House offers a wide variety of fitness facilities including a full weight room, a gymnasium, outdoor basketball and sand volleyball courts, soccer field and track & field facilities.  The Clarke also offers fitness and wellness programs!

Steps: A Magazine for Alumni and Friends: Stay in touch with the CSUSM Community! These publications offer a variety of special features, highlighting important programs and interesting people. Email us and let us know where you are and what you're doing and you may be featured! 

Association Partners:  The following programs provided by the Alumni Partners are carefully chosen.  All programs listed below provide revenue back to the Alumni Association so we can continue to offer great events and activities and reconnect you with campus.  For more information and direct links to these partners visit the Alumni Partners section of the Alumni Homepage.

  • AAA: Active members of a four-year college or university alumni association are eligible for discounts from AAA.

Insurance Discounts: Many insurance companies provide discounted rates to active members of college or university Alumni Associations. Be sure to check with your insurance carriers to see if you qualify for these exclusive benefits.
