Western Regional Cyber Defense Competition or Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition (CCDC) is a high-stakes event where student
teams showcase their skills in managing and securing corporate network infrastructures.
This competition serves as a platform for institutions with information assurance
or computer security programs to assess their students' depth of understanding and
operational competency |

The C0UG4R5 Capture the Flag (CTF) is hosted by the Cybersecurity Hub for California State University (CSUSM) students
with varying difficulty levels of tasks that are friendly to those with little cybersecurity
background knowledge. There are cash prizes, in the form of gift cards, that students
can win from competing in this competition. The challenges cover the topics in open-source
intelligence, cryptography, reverse engineering of programs, inspecting packet data,
and more. |

The Cybersecurity Club competes in the Fall and Spring semesters in The National Cybersecurity League (NCL). The NCL is a biannual cybersecurity competition for high school and college students.
The competition consists of a series of challenges that allows students to demonstrate
their ability to identify hackers from forensic data, break into vulnerable websites,
recover from ransomware attacks, and more. Students compete in the NCL to build their
skills, obtain scouting reports of their performance for hiring purposes, and to represent
their school. |
