Family Move-in Meetings
 

This meeting will be an opportunity to connect with campus partners to hear about the move-in process and understand policies/procedures of living on campus.  Additionally, this session aims to provide support for families transitioning students to independent living.  Sessions are intended for families (not students). Academic Preparedness No matter the class type, virtual, in person, or even a mix, starting the academic year is a challenge with navigating the organization of class schedules, expectations, deadlines, and so much more!  This Academic Preparedness session will be a great way to learn success tips in guiding your student through the start of the academic year.  This session is led by the Director for First-Year Programs and Faculty member in the College of Arts, Humanities, Behavioral and Social Sciences for tips to support your student in navigating the start of the semester.

Week #6 Check-in
(Cougar Care Network & Co-Curricular Involvement)
The first 6 weeks of a student's transition to university life is filled with many emotions, challenges and life shifts.  This Fall 2022 marks its own unique set of transition changes with the repopulation of campus while still navigating events and classes in virtual spaces too.  Families- join our Cougar Care Network Team and Student Leadership & Involvement Center Director for an engaging session to best support your student in moving through these first six weeks and thriving on campus.

Midterm Resources Midterms come in all different formats for students. From papers to projects and exams with assignments in between - the semester workload really gets into full swing at this stage. Hear about support from across campus (Library, tutoring, wellness resources and events for students), and how you can make a visit to campus with Family Weekend!
