Welcome Home, Cougars!

We're happy you're here! Join us for Weeks of Welcome; a wide variety of events, activities, and opportunities to meet new people and kick off your semester! Weeks of Welcome events are the first step to getting involved and having an amazing CSUSM Cougar experience. 

Whether you are a returning student or coming to campus for the first time, virtual or in-person, there is something for everyone in Weeks of Welcome! Search the calendar below to create your Tukwut Experience.

New Students! Whether you are new to campus or new to CSUSM, the Cougar Question Mart is here to support you in navigating CSUSM. Scroll to the New Student section below to RSVP for a tour, and stop by Cougar Question Mart on campus or virtually in Microsoft Teams for support!

Personal Health Assessment: Prior to arriving on campus or participating in any campus-related activity or program, all students are required to perform a personal health assessment to ensure that they are not experiencing any COVID-like symptoms. Do not come to campus if: 

  • You are feeling unwell
  • Have any COVID-like symptoms
  • Are unvaccinated and have had a known exposure to COVID-19.

Anyone who develops symptoms while on campus or participating in a campus-related activity must immediately do the following:

Event Check-In: For a convenient check-in process at all Weeks of Welcome events, set up your digital ID and download the CSUSM app!

Individuals with disabilities who would like to attend Weeks of Welcome events:
Please contact New Student & Family Programs at (760) 750-4930 or orientation@csusm.edu regarding any special accommodation needs. It is requested that individuals requiring auxiliary aids such as sign language interpreters and alternative format materials notify the event sponsor at least seven working days in advance. Every reasonable effort will be made to provide reasonable accommodations in an effective and timely manner.

Minors:
Any students under the age of 18 who would like to attend Miiyu should contact New Student & Family Programs at orientation@csusm.edu to request a liability waiver to be signed by your legal guardian by the Friday before classes begin.
