Overview

CSUSM’s annual Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) Summit brings together staff, faculty, administrators, and students from across institutions engaged in HSI work. Participants engage in meaningful dialogue, share best practices, celebrate successes, and strengthen efforts that promote student success and foster an inclusive, equitable environment where Latinx students and all students can thrive.

This free summit serves as a professional development opportunity, deepening understanding of HSI responsibilities and generating collaborative solutions that benefit both individual campuses and the broader educational community.

**This event is open and available to all regardless of race, sex, color, ethnicity or national origin. Our commitment to equal opportunity means ensuring that every student and employee has access to the resources and support they need to thrive and succeed in a university environment and in their communities.

In Community, In Continuity: Sustaining Servingness through Collective Responsibility

Servingness goes beyond HSI status—it is an ongoing practice and a shared responsibility taken up within each campus and, at times, collectively across institutions and communities. In a time of shifting priorities and new challenges, this summit invites us to reflect, recommit, and rise together. Through powerful dialogue, shared practices, and bold visioning, we will explore how each of us—faculty, staff, administrators, students, and community partners—can sustain a thriving HSI that centers the success and lived experiences of our students.

**A special student session will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 PM, offering a space for students to engage with the summit theme through dialogue and community-building.
