Lauren Schwartz

Lauren Schwartz is an anthropological archaeologist, with research interests in household archaeology and topics of space and place.  Having conducted research in Pre-Columbian Mesoamerica, South America, and the U.S. Southwest, Dr. Schwartz investigates domestic contexts and architectural elements, in particular vernacular architecture.  She also has interests in ethical practice in archaeology and student training in professional practices.

At CSUSM, Dr. Schwartz teaches courses in archaeology and biological anthropology.
