Advising

Beginning in the Fall of 2023, in addition to academic advisors (Priscilla Arciniega or Gricelda Ruiz), all anthropology majors will be assigned a faculty advisor. Faculty advisors can guide students through increasing knowledge and skill development in anthropology and developing overall educational and career plans (Baker & Griffin, 2010; White & Schulenberg, 2012). A faculty advisor can assist with career exploration, major advising, and mentoring. The anthropology faculty can assist you as you move forward this academic year.

We look forward to advising you on your path in anthropology and encourage you to speak to the faculty about courses and requirements throughout your time at CSUSM.

For general advising, including university/graduation requirements and General Education advising, please schedule a meeting with a staff advisor in the Office of Academic Advising.
