My role at Cal State San Marcos
As a Student Assistant at the Career Center, I am fortunate to be able to work alongside students and staff. I answer questions and help provide people with whatever resources they are searching for. I love being able to see students strive and excel in their career path by visiting the Career Center to aid them along their journey.
My career path
I graduated in 2016 from Canyon High School located in Anaheim Hills, California. Since my sophomore year of high school, I have always wanted to have a profession that will help others. Therefore, I am starting my career here at CSUSM as a Human Development major with an emphasis in counseling in hopes to one day become a professional therapist.
The rewards in doing what I do
I love being able to see the amount of people come into the career center seeking assistance with their career plans. To me, it is awesome to see so many students invested in their career path when they come in and utilize services with the Career Center. It is very motivating to see.
My words of wisdom to students
Make sure that you are open-minded to new things. Being open-minded will open all kinds of doors you never thought would be there!
In my free time
During my free time I love to make art, spend time with friends, and binge anything and everything on Netflix.
