Andrea (Andy) Fisher

Andrea “Andy” Fisher joined CSUSM in September 2026 as the Vice President for University Advancement and Executive Director of the CSUSM Foundation where she leads the University Advancement division including development, alumni engagement, event and conference services, government relations and advancement operations. As Vice President, Andy will work closely with university leadership and the CSUSM Foundation Board to strengthen philanthropic partnerships and support the university’s strategic priorities.

In her previous role at the University of Arizona, Andy served as the vice president of development, leading advancement teams and supporting a broad portfolio of academic and university programs. She brings more than 25 years of leadership experience spanning higher education philanthropy, nonprofit management, and community service.

Before her career in higher education philanthropy, Fisher spent nearly 25 years in the nonprofit sector, culminating in her role as CEO of the Centre County Youth Service Bureau in central Pennsylvania. She said her experience working directly with families and communities continues to shape her approach to philanthropy.

Fisher holds a master’s degree in criminal justice from Shippensburg University and a bachelor’s in administration of justice from Pennsylvania State University.
