CSUSM Endowment

CSUSM’s endowment is the university’s long-term financial foundation, providing permanent, reliable funding for scholarships, academic programs, research, faculty excellence, and other priorities. Managed by the CSUSM Foundation with a diversified, long-term strategy, it ensures we can meet the needs of today’s students while building resources to serve generations to come.

Made possible by the generosity of donors who share our mission, the principal is invested for growth so that gifts last in perpetuity. This creates a steady stream of funding that benefits students today and for decades ahead. As of fiscal year 2025, CSUSM’s endowment market value totals $45M across 147 individual endowed funds, providing more than $1.3M in direct support last year to programs, scholarships, and initiatives that change lives. We are deeply grateful to all who have invested in CSUSM’s future.
