Barbara Fischer is an attorney at Fischer & Ritchey LLP, a law firm that focuses on estate planning, business formation and planning, nonprofit formation, operations and compliance along with charitable and gift planning. 

Barb attended George Washington University for her master’s degree in Legislative affairs and worked for two U.S. Senators and a House representative as a legislative assistant.  She subsequently obtained her law degree from California Western law school and partners with her daughter in the practice of law.

She is thrilled to be serving on the CSUSM Foundation Board as her personal goal is to help individuals and non-profit organizations see the impact of charitable giving as it relates to local organizations serving the community.  She has seen how CSUSM has not only enriched our local community but how it has provided educational opportunities not available anywhere else, especially through its careful stewardship of donor contributions.
