Mr. Chris Tresse joined Bernstein in 2001 as a financial advisor in San Francisco.
In 2005, he was made a principal of the firm and relocated to help launch the San
Diego office. Advising families, foundations, and pension plans, Mr. Tresse works
closely with clients on critical matters involving wealth management, asset allocation,
estate planning, and the sale of privately held businesses. Previously, he was a director
at Vividence, an Internet consulting firm venture backed by Kleiner Perkins and Sequoia
Capital, where he managed the strategic accounts division. Prior to that, Mr. Tresse
managed the San Francisco office for Baseline Financial Services, an equity research
firm serving institutional money managers. He began his career with IBM as a marketing
representative in the firm’s New York banking office. Mr. Tresse earned a BS from
Fairfield University in Connecticut with a major in computer science. He serves as
a trustee on the foundation board of Rady Children’s Hospital, is a member of the
Estate Planning Council of San Diego, and a past president of the La Jolla Estate
Planning, Trust & Probate Section.
