Kevin Harkenrider

Executive Vice President Emeritus, Viasat

Kevin Harkenrider retired from Viasat in August 2026 after a 19 year career with the company, most recently serving as Executive Vice President and Chief Corporate Officer.  Previous roles with Viasat included Chief Operating Officer (COO), President – Commercial Networks, and President – Satellite Services.  Kevin has over 40 years in management roles in diverse industries ranging from shipbuilding, information technology, electronics manufacturing, and telecommunications. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Union College in Schenectady, New York, and an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh.

He currently serves on several non-profit boards:  Father Joe’s Villages, Fleet Science Center, CSUSM Foundation, along with the Finance Committee of Palomar Health Foundation.  He also is President of his homeowner’s association.  He and his spouse of 40+ years reside in San Diego.
