Larry Witt, CFA

Mr. Witt joined Meketa in 2012 and has worked in the investment industry for over 20 years. He serves as a lead consultant for NonProfit, Public, and TaftHartley clients on a variety of plan types, including endowments, foundations, defined benefit, and health & welfare funds. His consulting work includes investment policy design, asset allocation modeling, public and private market investment manager due diligence and fund performance analysis, and asset class education. In addition, Mr. Witt is a member of Meketa’s Endowment & Foundation Practice Group, and the ESG Investing and Corporate Responsibility Committees.
Prior to joining the firm, he was an associate portfolio manager at American Assets Investment Management, and an equity research analyst at Morningstar. Mr. Witt earned an MBA, magna cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame, and a BS in Business Administration from San Diego State University.
Mr. Witt holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation from the CFA Institute and is a member of the CFA Institute, as well as the CFA Society San Diego. He also holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation and is a member of the CAIA Association®. Additionally, Mr. Witt serves on the Finance and Investment Committee for the California State University, San Marcos Foundation, and on the Investment Committee for the Girl Scouts of San Diego.
